Huge Gator Lurks in Lake Conroe - debunked!

Look at the size of this alligator! It has a whole deer in its mouth. These pictures were taken by a KTBS helicopter flying over the west end of Lake Conroe! Lake Conroe is in Conroe, Texas which is about 45 miles north of Houston along IH-45.
Wanna go fishing?
BTW, I did a quick Internet search, and found out this is a hoax -- it had me going, though! Here's a link to the
real story!
do you think there are gators in conroe at all? b/c my kids are swimming and toobing out there and im concernd about their saftey
I would not be surprised if there were, but I don't think there is anything to be concerned about. As a kid, I used to fish a few ponds in Magnolia County, between Lake Conroe and The Woodlands. I saw lots of alligators, and I know someone who caught one that was about eight feet long. I don't think there are many in the area that are the size of this one, and Lake Conroe has lots of boat traffic. I believe this would keep any gators well way from the main body of the lake. I think there is much more of a danger from snakes than from gators on Lake Conroe by far. I have spent lots of time wading and swimming on Lake Conroe, and have never been concerned.
That thing is huge i would never go in the water if i knew that thing was in there
